Jody Wainer, MA, MSSA

Jody Wainer is a Jungian analyst and a licensed Independent Social Worker in Ohio, receiving her licensure in 1986 by the State of Ohio Counselor and Social Worker Board. She was awarded her diploma in Analytical Psychology by the Inter-Regional Society of Jungian Analysts in 2003.

In 1978, Jody completed the three-year post-graduate Training Program at The Gestalt Institute of Cleveland, where she also completed their Intimate Systems Training. She holds a Master of Social Science Administration from Case Western Reserve University (1978) and a Master of Arts in Communication Disorders from the University of California - San Francisco (1970). Her Bachelor of Science is in Education, Speech, Hearing and Language Therapy from Ohio State University (1969).

Jody has been in private practice since 1996. She has served as a faculty member for the Pittsburgh Seminar of the I-RSJA, and is an Associate Member of the Pittsburgh Society of Jungian Analysts. Within the Inter-Regional Society of Jungian Analysts, she serves as the chair of a Review Committee and is a member of the Admissions Committee. Her analytic thesis was entitled The Braided Candle: The Ten Sefirot of the Kabbalistic Tree of Life As Understood Through a Jungian Psychological Lens and Their Implications for Practice. She enjoys presenting and teaching in the area of folk tales. She is currently facilitating a Dream Group through Jung Cleveland. She has maintained an interest in increasing the visibility and understanding of Jungian thought and the support it can offer to daily life.
